2020: The Year I Decided to Build My Own Vegetable Garden

I decided to build a vegetable garden in my backyard to teach my young children that we could grow our favorite vegetables ourselves and also to minimize trips to the grocery stores during the pandemic. Farmburbia built my garden in May of 2020.  After harvesting and eating from our own garden, we felt really good about not buying packaged vegetables and having no plastic packaging materials to throw away.  My third grader especially was excited about eating his favorite Korean spinach dish after many weeks of watering and waiting for them to grow.  I plan to plant a variety of Korean vegetables like peppers, cucumbers and perilla leaves to share with neighbors and also for cooking my favorite Korean dishes.
